This Indenture made this 8th day of September 1851 Between John T Jarboe of the one part and Lloyd Clarkson of the other part. Witnesseth both parties being of Washington County Ky. that the said Jarboe has this day and doth by these presents for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars to him said Jarboe in hand paid by said Clarkson the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, hath given, granted bargained and sold unto him said Clarkson and unto his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or tract of land lying in Washington County Ky on the waters of Cartwrights Creek and joins the Turnpike Road from Lebanon to Springfield and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a stone which was the corner to said Jarboe and said Clarkson Runs thence with Clarkson's old line nearly North to the Turnpike Road thence with said Turnpike Road in the direction to Lebanon until is comes to a point due West from the beginning corner thence East to the Beginning. Supposed to Contain about Eleven Acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the same to him said Clarkson and to his heirs and assigns forever. And said Jarboe Covenants and agrees to and with said Clarkson that he will and his heirs shall forever warrant and defend the Title to said land free and clear from any and all person or persons Claiming by him or under him. In testimony whereof said Jarboe hereto sets his hand and seal the day and date above written.

I John B Starr Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that on the 8th day of September 1851 this deed from John T. Jarboe to Lloyd Clarkson was produced to me in my office and Acknowledged by the said John T. Jarboe to be his act and deed. Whereupon said Deed together with this Certificate hath been duly admitted to Record in Deed Book S Page 50. Given under my hand this 14th day of October 1851.
